At the 71st UN General Assembly’s discussion this week about development cooperation activities of the UN Economic and Financial Committee, Nga, on behalf of ASEAN countries, raised concerns about resource depletion and called on donors for more support for development. She urged for a reform in the UN operation to boost collaboration among UN organizations. Nga urged the UN to support the South-South and trilateral cooperation.

Earlier this week, at the Committee’s general debate, the Ambassador reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. She suggested that countries should honor their commitments concerning the Official Development Assistance and trade promotion and facilitation. Nga said she was pleased that the Paris Agreement will soon come into force, adding that Vietnam is preparing for the ratification of the Agreement.
