At a Wednesday reception in Hanoi for Anthony Capuano, Marriott’s President and CEO, PM Chinh urged the group to cooperate with Vietnam in training and developing high-quality human resources meeting international standards; help connect Vietnamese tourism with the region and the world; and support Vietnam in restoring and developing tourism and air transportation.

Capuano spoke highly of Vietnam's potential and advantages in tourism development and promised that Marriott will expand its business and investment activities in Vietnam.

Marriott will also use more high-quality Vietnamese human resources and actively implement social security activities in the country, said Capuano.

In Vietnam, the Marriott group manages 16 hotels and resorts under eight brand names, including JW Marriott, Le Meridien, and Sheraton.

Marriott plans to open 20 more hotels and resorts in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc island, Mr. Capuano said.
