(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese people are proud of the solidarity and friendship with Cambodia and of the constant development of ties between the two countries’ Fatherland Fronts, according to Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, who is also President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Nhan made the remark at a reception for Min Khin, Vice President and General Secretary of the Cambodian United Front for National Construction and Defence, in Hanoi on Wednesday. Nhan urged the two organizations to encourage people living along their border localities to support each other in building a common border of peace and friendship.

Earlier, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Vu Trong Kim told his Cambodian guests that Vietnam gives top priority to strengthening the neighborliness, traditional friendship, and comprehensive, long-term and durable cooperation with Cambodia. During the talks, both sides placed great importance on a conference of the fatherland fronts of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia to be held in Laos in November 2013, and said they will attend the meeting.
