The two sides identified challenges and prospects and shared experience in resolving conflicts of interests. Canada said they will promote a quick approval of the agreement.

Chairman of the NA Committee for External Affairs Nguyen Van Giau said legislative ties between Vietnam and Canada will support state activities, particularly treaties signed by the two governments. He said the establishment of the Comprehensive Partnership in November will open a new era in bilateral relations as well as cooperation between the two parliaments.

Earlier, Mr. Giau visited Japan to boost parliamentary ties and CPTPP ratification.
