Vietnam commits to an inclusive, sustainable culture ecosystem

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam attaches importance to managing UNESCO’s Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, said Le Thi Hong Van, Vietnam’s Ambassador and Head of the Permanent Delegation to UNESCO.

Speaking at the 9th session of the Conference of Parties to the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions in Paris, Van said Vietnam will ensure the execution of UNESCO’s strategic orientations to enhance the diversity of cultural expressions in the digital environment, strengthen the status of artists and cultural professionals, and promote other priorities such as gender equality and the development of small island nations.

Van said Vietnam is committed to joining other member countries in promoting the strength of culture and creativity for self-reliance and sustainable development.

In a session on managing the Convention in the digital environment, Vietnam shared its national effort to amend its Intellectual Property Law.
