PM Dung expressed his hope that both sides will continue the exchange of visits to create a foundation for economic, trade, and investment ties, particularly in fisheries, environment, clean energy, and information technology.

He recommended creating a legal framework for collaboration across education, science-technology, culture, and tourism while working closely together at international forums like the UN.

PM Dung called for Iceland’s support of the early signing of a free trade agreement between Vietnam and the European Free Trade Association. He said he hopes Iceland will continue providing assistance for Vietnamese nationals living and working in Iceland.

President Grimsson replied that Iceland attaches importance to expanding its partnership with Vietnam in various areas and is willing to work with Vietnam in health care and tertiary training.
