(VOVworld) – Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Le Hai Binh, on Thursday answered reporters’ questions regarding Vietnam’s plan to search for the missing Malaysian Airlines plane. "In the past few days, with joint efforts between relevant agencies, Vietnam has actively implemented urgent search and rescue activities. Vietnam has established a frontline Command in Phu Quoc island to steer search and rescue activities for the missing plane. In the coming days, Vietnam will continue to work closely with Malaysia to trace the missing plane."
At the press conference, Mr. Binh also introduced a series of diplomatic activities in March. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will lead a Vietnamese delegation to the 3rd Nuclear Security Summit in Poland. At the event, Vietnam will repeat its policies on nuclear energy consumption for peaceful purposes as well as nuclear safety and security activities in line with the international framework on nuclear security.
