Vietnam, Cuba pledge to strengthen ties

(VOVWORLD) - President Tran Dai Quang and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan received First Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba Salvado Valdes Mesa who is on an official visit to Vietnam for the celebration the 45th anniversary of President Fidel Castro’s visit to liberated region in southern Vietnam.

President Quang praised comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba and called for more exchanges of visit and experience while facilitating business ties.

National Assembly Chairwoman Ngan said dialogues at bilateral and multilateral forums have strengthened comprehensive cooperation and friendship between the two countries.  

Cuba’s First Vice President Mesa said the Vietnamese National Assembly has been conducive to Cuba’s ongoing Constitutional reform. He called for more cooperation in areas of mutual strength including healthcare and agriculture.
