Flight Centre, one of Australia’s biggest travel companies, said its customers rated Vietnam one of their top 5 favorite destinations in Asia and in top 12 globally. Their interests in Vietnam have grown year by year, according Flight Centre’s representative Yvonne Chapple.

"Interests in Vietnam increased significantly in the past months since Vietnam reopened. We received many requests for tours to the North of Vietnam. Ha Long Bay is the most popular, and many Australian tourists wished to go on cruise ships there.”

Other than Ha Long Bay, Hanoi, Sapa, HCM City, the Mekong Delta region, Nha Trang, Da Nang, and Hoi An were also customers’ favorites.

Wendy Wu, another big Australian travel company observed increases in travel demands to Vietnam. Franky Vasta, the company’s customer service executive, said, "The Vietnamese market is seeing an explosive increase in demands. After the COVID-19, Australians are looking at Vietnam’s destinations like Ha Long Bay, Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An,… for great food and outstanding culture."

To cater to increasing demands, Vietnam Airlines will open new routes connecting Melbourne with Hanoi with two flights per week.
