Vietnam enhances ties with Belgium, Slovakia, EU

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam wants to promote a comprehensive cooperation with Belgium, said Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue at a reception on Wednesday for Belgian Ambassador to Vietnam Jehanne Roccas.

He said a delegation of the Vietnamese government will visit Belgium next month to boost bilateral ties and push for the ratification of the Vietnam-EU free trade agreement.

At a meeting with the Slovakian Ambassador Igor Pacolak, Hue urged the two countries to boost diplomatic and economic ties and increase cooperation in technology and construction.

Talking with Ambassador and Head of the EU delegation to Vietnam Bruno Angelet, Hue said Vietnam is making efforts to fine-tune the market economy to boost comprehensive cooperation. He said he hoped that during the Vietnamese government delegation’s visit to EU next month, the two sides will discuss ways to implement the comprehensive partnership framework and push for the early ratification of the Vietnam-EU free trade agreement.
