Vietnam enters day 58 with no community transmissions of COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has kept domestic infections of coronavirus at bay for 58 days in a row.

The total count now stands at 1,177 after 4 more imported cases were confirmed Thursday night, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The latest patients returned from France on October 21 and were quarantined in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

1,062 COVID-19 patients in Vietnam have recovered and 35 have died.
