(VOV-TV) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received Franz Jessen, Ambassador and Head of EU delegation to Vietnam on Thursday. The Prime Minister underlined that Vietnam-EU relations have been developing rapidly in various fields and two way trade turnover has jumped recently. The Prime Minister asked the new Ambassador to work closely with Vietnamese agencies to step up cooperation between Vietnam and the EU. He stated that Vietnam supported the EU increasing cooperation with ASEAN and promoted the negotiation of a free trade agreement between Vietnam and the bloc. He said he hoped that the EU would support ASEAN’s 6 point principles over the East Sea issue.
