At a reception in New Delhi for AK Gupta, ONGC managing director and CEO, as part of his ongoing India visit, Chairman Hue said energy and oil and gas exploitation are pillars of the bilateral trade-economic relations.

Vietnam creates the best possible conditions for Indian companies to expand their energy production, oil and gas development in Vietnam’s continental shelf and exclusive economic zone, Hue affirmed, adding that Vietnam is looking forward to more Indian investment beyond the oil and gas sector to realize the goal of 15-billion-USD bilateral trade.

Hue said Vietnam commits to protecting investors’ interests per its legal regulations. He told Gupta that the Vietnamese National Assembly will consider amendments and supplements to the Oil and Gas Law to legally facilitate the sector’s development.
