Vietnam, Iran boost cooperation in tourism

(VOV) – Vietnam’s Ambassador to Iran Nguyen Hong Thach has made a working visit to Esfahan city in Iran’s Esfahan province to seek opportunities for bilateral cooperation in tourism.

At a meeting with the city’s mayor Mehdi Jamalinejad, the two sides expressed their hope to boost ties between Iran and Vietnamese localities. The mayor said tourism is a key area in Vietnam-Iran ties and suggested cultural weeks be organized in the two countries to boost mutual understanding. Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thach agreed with mayor Jamalinejad on the potentials of the two countries and voiced his support for Jamalinejad’s initiatives to foster bilateral ties. He said the Vietnamese embassy in Iran has organized scores of activities to promote ties between Esfahan city and Vietnamese localities.
