Vietnam joins international efforts to end human trafficking

Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN, made the pledge at the UN General Assembly meeting that concluded in New York on Thursday.

Nga applauded the adoption of a political declaration for a UN global action plan in human trafficking, which is considered a crime and a violation of human rights and human dignity and poses serious threats to peace, security, and development

She said Vietnam condemns and resolutely combats human trafficking, especially trafficking of women and children and other cross-border crimes.
