(VOVworld) – With regard to Vietnam joining the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI), Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Hai Binh said “After carefully considering aspects of the PSI, Vietnam decided to join this initiative in the spirit of support for the Declaration of September 4, 2003. Vietnam’s decision reflects Vietnam’s consistent policy of supporting international cooperation for the common goal of preventing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, transportation systems and related materials, contributing to ensuring international peace and security in line with international law, national law, and the power and resources of each nation. Vietnam will take part in activities to implement the PSI within its capacity.”
