Vietnam, Lao leaders share experience on legislative body-government coordination

(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly  Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and visiting Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith have shared experience on the coordination mechanisms between the legislative body and the government.

At a meeting in Hanoi on Wednesday, both leaders also discussed the process of building legal documents, the handling of complaints and denunciations, and the relations between provincial People’s Councils and the National Assembly.

The Vietnamese leader said the Vietnamese Assembly always supports and creates all favorable conditions for the promotion of cooperation between the two countries as well as the implementation of signed agreements.

The Lao PM briefed on  successful talks with Vietnamese PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc, saying the two sides signed eight cooperation agreements. He also informed his host that during this visit, he has met many major firms of Vietnam to listen to their difficulties when investing in Laos in order to seek solutions to them, thus promoting investment in the country.
