Addressing the event, Vietnamese Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung highlighted the Ministry’s scholarships for the Lao officials, their delegation exchanges, and cooperation in human resources development, especially in border areas. He thanked the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and other relevant agencies of Laos for their close coordination in searching remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Laos. Minister Dung said he hopes that the two sides will further their cooperation through the exchange of delegations and experience, and personnel training: “We continue searching for the remains of Vietnamese soldiers in our land or elsewhere in Laos. Over the past years, the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers have been repatriated from Laos. The Lao special working groups have closely cooperated with us in this issue”.

Lao Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Khampheng Saysompheng expressed his hope that the two Ministries will further boost their cooperation to address war invalids and martyrs affairs, vocational training, and poverty reduction.
