During a reception in Hanoi on Monday for Khamphanh Phommathat, Politburo member, Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee and head of the LPRP Central Committee Office, Mr. Trong hailed the Lao delegation’s visit at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties and 40 years of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.

Phommathat affirmed that the Office of the LPRP Central Committee will continue coordinating closely with its Vietnamese counterpart to effectively implement agreements between the two countries’ Party leaders so as to lift bilateral ties to a new height.
