Vietnam, Laos eye stronger economic ties

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung has praised favorable conditions created by the Lao government to Vietnamese investors in Laos. In a meeting with Lao Deputy Prime Minister Somsavad Lengsavat in Vientiane on Monday, Dung, who is also deputy head of the Vietnam-Laos Cooperation Sub-committee, said both countries have accelerated all areas, especially in investment and trade.

Lengsavat, who is heading the Laos-Vietnam Cooperation Sub-committee, expressed his hope that two sides will remove all obstacles to their investment ties, contributing to stronger Laos-Vietnam special relations.

The same day, Dung talked with Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Thongloun Sisoulith.
