At a meeting with the WB Vice President for the East Asia and Pacific Region Victoria Kwakwa in Hanoi on Thursday, Hue said free trade agreements including the Trans-Pacific Partnership will create several opportunities and challenges for Vietnam. He said he hoped the World Bank would help Vietnam maximize benefits from these agreements to serve its national growth. Hue said Vietnam is seeking solutions to bad debts and restructuring credit organizations. He called on the bank to help Vietnam develop the corporate bond market and mobilise more social resources. Victoria Kwakwa underlined the need for Vietnam to manage polices towards market mechanism and ensure balance between growth and macro-economic stability targets. She said the WB is ready to cooperate with Vietnamese agencies to address fiscal and monetary policy issues
