Vietnam on track to meet 2020 growth target

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s economic growth was 2.62 percent in the third quarter, a stepping stone for the country to meet its positive growth target this year, according to a government meeting in Hanoi on Friday chaired by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The meeting discussed ways to boost Vietnam economic growth in the fourth quarter. Some sectors, including agriculture, finance, and banking are seeing a strong recovery.

Vietnam currently leads ASEAN and ranks second in the Asia-Pacific region in economic growth.
