Vietnam pushes South-South Cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son on Wednesday led a Vietnamese delegation to attend a 3-day UN Conference on South-South Cooperation in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The conference is themed "Role of South-South Cooperation and Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: challenges and opportunities". It will review the 40-years implementation of the Buenos Aires Action Plan on promotion of technical cooperation between developing nations and propose future South-South cooperation.  Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said: “The Vietnamese delegation’s participation in the conference affirms Vietnam’s commitment to South-South cooperation. This is an opportunity for Vietnam to promote its achievements during the Renewal period and share its experience in socio-economic development.”

Mr. Son will deliver a speech, attend seminars and dialogues, and meet the heads of other delegations.
