At a meeting with Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz in Havana on Thursday, Mr. Hue said the NA of Vietnam will continue working closely with the NA of People’s Power of Cuba to create optimal conditions for both sides’ enterprises to develop economic, trade, and investment links on par with their political relations.

PM Marrero affirmed that the Cuban Government will keep creating favorable conditions for Vietnam’s investment projects, especially in the fields of food production, clean energy, and consumer goods manufacturing. He said that both governments will continue stepping up measures to strengthen their bilateral partnership in economy, trade, science, and technology as agreed at the Inter-governmental Committee’s annual meetings.

On Friday, Chairman Hue attended a ceremony to rename Hoa Binh Park in Havana Ho Chi Minh Park. Mr. Hue said the 63-year-old partnership has been a testament to the solidarity and special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba despite their geographical distance.

"Ho Chi Minh Park will be a venue for entertainment and sightseeing in the capital Havana. Anyone can come here to pay tribute to and show respect to President Ho Chi Minh, who laid the foundation for Vietnam-Cuba relations. We hope to encourage young people to nurture and boost the relationship between our two countries," he noted.
