(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue has suggested that Vietnam and the Republic of Korea strengthen trade facilitation and boost their trade towards balance and sustainability.

At Friday’s meeting with Republic of Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, who is on a state visit to Vietnam, Chairman Hue called on Korean enterprises to bolster connections and support Vietnamese enterprises to participate more deeply in the supply chain of Korean enterprises.
The two sides cooperate to form strategic supply chains that they have potentials, strengths and needs, the National Assembly Chairman suggested, stressing the need to closely cooperate and support each other in global and regional issues of mutual concern.
He asked the Korea to support ensuring security, safety and freedom of navigation and overflight in the East Sea.
President Yoon basically agreed with the suggestions of National Assembly Chairman Hue on promoting cooperation and urged the two sides continue to support each other in multilateral forums.
The Korean president said he was interested in developing science and technology for the future generations of the two countries, including Vietnamese students in Korea.
