Vietnam sends message of condolence to South Africa

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Truong Tan Sang sent messages of condolence to the President of the African National Congress Party (ANC), and President of the South Africa Republic Jacob Zuma on the death of Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa and leader of the ANC.

The message writes: “We are moved and sad to hear that Nelson Mandela, former President of the African National Congress Party, former President of South Africa Republic died on December 5, 2013.

Nelson Mandela was a talented person, a staunch soldier, an outstanding leader of the African people, who spent his whole life for, and made enormous contributions to the struggle of the people in South Africa and all over the world against oppression, injustice, and racism, for freedom, justice, fairness and social advancement.

We would like to send our deepest condolences to the African National Congress Party, the State and people of South Africa, and the family of Mr. Mandela. We believe that the South African people will turn from grief to unity to help the country confront all challenges and attain more achievements in national development.”
