(VOVworld) – The visit by a high-ranking delegation of the Singapore National Trade Union Congress to Vietnam will contribute to deepening the sound relationship between the two countries’ trade unions. President Dang Ngoc Tung of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor makes this remark yesterday at talks with Singaporean Union’s Deputy Secretary General Hang Chee How, Senior Minister of State in charge of the Prime Minister’s Office and Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives. Tung hoped the Singaporean Union will further support and share its experiences to help Vietnam build trade union movement.

Vietnam-Singapore bilateral relations were officially established in 1973. Singapore is Vietnam’s strategic partner and 4th largest foreign investor supporting Vietnam in petroleum exploitation, infrastructure, education, and healthcare services.
