Vietnam, South Africa look to foster bilateral ties

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and South Africa have vowed to raise two-way trade to 2 billion USD per year through various ways, including exchanging information about politics and markets and creating favorable conditions for businesses.

At a meeting in Hanoi on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Maite Nkoana Mashabane agreed to increase delegations and people-to-people exchanges to foster solidarity and mutual understanding.

The two sides discussed measures to boost cooperation in defense, security, law, education, training, science, and technology, and pledged to support each other at multi-lateral forums.
