Vietnam, South Korea boost cooperative opportunities from economic integration

(VOVworld) – The Vietnam-Korea Business Forum took place in Hanoi on Thursday to help small and medium-sized enterprises find more opportunities in economic integration activities.

A free trade agreement between Vietnam and South Korea took effect last year and both countries have been actively participating in other regional trade deals.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Pham Huu Chi said Korea is Vietnam’s biggest foreign investor with a total capital investment of 45 billion USD. Last year their bilateral trade reaching 36 billion USD. Korea is Vietnam’s third largest trading partner and Vietnam is Korea’s fourth largest trading partner.

Chi noted a great potential for Vietnam and Korea to increase their production and trade links.
