Speaking at the 6th Legal Committee of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Monday, Thoa affirmed Vietnam’s unwavering condemnation of all acts of terrorism, regardless of their form or motivation, adding that Vietnam opposes the application of a “double standard” in the fight against terrorism.

She said it’s important to address the root causes of terrorism by reducing economic, social, and political inequality, enhancing community resilience, and promoting international cooperation at the national, regional, and global level.

Regarding the terrorist attacks in Cu Kuin district in Vietnam's Dak Lak province in June, Thoa expressed gratitude to partners for their condemnation of the attacks, and asked countries and international organizations to help in the ongoing investigation of the culprits who are still at large.
