Vietnam’s 23-billion-USD target in export revenue is within reach.

(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s textile and garment exports will enjoy more favorable conditions this year due to its key markets - the US, the EU, Japan, and the Republic of Korea - being predicted to grow.

Free trade agreements, especially the successful negotiation of the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement, will create many opportunities for Vietnamese exporters.

Le Tien Truong, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Garment and Textile Group, comments: “We have set a target growth rate of 12% for exports in 2014, which is relatively feasible. Over the past 15 years, the sector has maintained a consistent growth rate thanks to strictly attending to 4 factors – quality, price, speed of supply, and post-sale services. We understand that to be able to compete, we must improve ourselves every year.

With a target of earning 23 billion USD this year in export revenue, Vietnam’s textile and garment exports will increase 10%.
