Vietnam targets 9 billion USD in seafood export by 2020
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam’s fishery sector aims to record a production growth of 6% and earn an export revenue of 8-9 billion USD by 2020, according to a 5-year target program on sustainable fishery development.

The program is designed to turn fishery into a key industry, contributing to protect marine resources, improve fishermen’s living standards, and safeguarding national sea and islands. It will focus on aquaculture development, research projects, and upgrade breeding technology.
