The President encouraged more bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual potential and benefits, including digital economy, energy and food security, sustainable and green growth.

Addressing a meeting on Thursday with Thai Finance Minister Arkhom Termpittaypaisith, leaders of Vietnamese ministries and sectors, and Vietnamese and Thai businesses, President Phuc praised the cooperation between the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Thai Commerce Committee. He urged the two countries to strengthen cooperation in digital economy, energy security, food security, and green, sustainable growth.
The Presidents said: "Thailand has been one of Vietnam’s largest trade partners in the past decade. We are working toward raising bilateral trade to 30 billion dollars by 2025. This is a meaningful benchmark and it’s not difficult to reach as we had achieved some 20 billion dollars of trade turnover. Businesses from both sides will make sizable contribution to this target as well as bilateral economic and trade ties."
