(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese athletes will participate in the 29th Summer Universiad in Taiwan, China, from Saturday to the end of this month.

Vietnam will compete in 4 of 15 sports: athletics, gymnastics, Wushu, and Taekwondo.
The Universiad is held every 2 years to strengthen international student friendship. In addition to sports competitions and cultural exchanges, the Universiad encompasses science conferences, art exchanges, and tour programs.
