(VOVworld) – Vietnam and China have maintained normal trading but for the long-term, Vietnam needs to increase its exports and reduce its trade deficit with the Chinese market.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai told reporters on Monday: “Lowering the trade deficit will require us to increase exports and reduce imports. 28.4% of our exported products target the Chinese market, showing that we’re right on the increase track. We’re also encouraging Vietnamese people to use made-in-Vietnam products. If all our people use Vietnamese products it will generate a large turnover.”
