Vietnam urges Japan to strengthen judicial cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked Ministries of Justice in Vietnam and Japan to strengthen bilateral cooperation in judicial assistance amid the growing civil, trade, and investment transactions.

At a meeting with Japanese Minister of Justice Furukawa Yoshihisa in Hanoi on Tuesday, President Phuc urged the two Ministries to cooperate in addressing procedural cases and nationality issues to help the two countries’ residents stabilize their lives. He asked Japan to help Vietnam with human resource training for legal and judicial work.

As an active, responsible member of ASEAN, the President said, Vietnam supports Japan’s proposal on boosting ASEAN-Japan legal and judicial cooperation.
