Vietnam, Western Australia boost ties

(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan met with President of the Western Australian Legislative Council Kate Doust and Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Western Australia Lisa Baker on Friday as part of her visit to Australia.

Ngan suggested that both sides continue delegation exchanges in order to increase cooperation in economics, trade, education, and tourism and people-to-people diplomacy. She said Vietnam pledges favorable conditions for Australian businesses to invest in the country.

Earlier the same day, Chairwoman Ngan met with Governor of Western Australia Kerry Sanderson in Perth city. The two sides discussed cooperative fields that require focus such as mining, renewable energy, liquefied gas, education, tourism, sea ports, and agriculture.

Sanderson affirmed that the Western Australia administration attaches great importance to cooperative relations with Vietnam. 

At a meeting with Chief Justice of Western Australia Wayne Martin, Chairwoman Ngan hailed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam.
