Robin Yaker, a senior lecturer of the UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, known as UN Women, said the 4-day course aims to provide necessary knowledge in the field for communicators at the grassroots level.

She noted that UN Women will make every effort to help countries in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, prevent domestic violence. It has also pledged more assistance in personnel and techniques to complete the project on using technical tools, evidence, and involving the community to boost law enforcement, and supply services for maltreated women in the region for the 2013-2015 period.

The workshop was held by the Da Nang Women’s Union in line with UN Women and the Spanish NGO Peace and Development (PyD).
