(VOVworld) - The Vietnam-Egypt Cultural Week opened on Thursday in El Gouna city, a tourist resort in the Red Sea Governorate of Egypt.

The opening ceremony included the screening of videos, a photo exhibit, and an exhibit to introduce Vietnam’s culture, land, people, and socio-economic achievements in 30 years of reform.

The highlight of the opening ceremony was a water puppet show called “Isis Osiris”, which was adapted from the “Isis Osiris” myth of Egypt as a cooperative project.

The show was performed by artists from the Cairo Puppet Theatre.

The program, which will continue until next Tuesday, will have members of the Vietnamese Embassy, overseas Vietnamese, and Vietnamese students in Egypt performing Non dancing and bamboo pole dancing, introducing Vietnam’s traditional costumes, and singing songs in praise of the Vietnamese land and people.
