Vietnam-Egypt relations continue to thrive

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and Egypt witnessed major milestones in bilateral cooperation in 2017 in politics, diplomacy, economics, and culture.

The Egyptian President visited Vietnam, 54 years after the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Do Hoang Long said he hopes that 2018 will be a successful year of Vietnam-Egypt bilateral relations. 

“The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt is working with the Egyptian Ministry of Cooperation and Investment to create a working mechanism between the two sides. Delegation exchanges will be promoted. The Embassy will work with related ministries and sectors to boost the implementation of cooperation agreements. We also support the promotion of Vietnam’s economy and boost exchanges between Vietnamese and Egyptian enterprises. We hope that bilateral trade will grow this year,” Ambassador Long elaborated. 

This year, Vietnam and Egypt will organize a program to honor President Ho Chi Minh in Egypt and Africa and boost Luxor-Ninh Binh and Hanoi-Cairo ties. 2018 will be Vietnam Cultural Year in Egypt and Egyptian Cultural Year in Vietnam.
