Vietnamese Ambassador to Seychelles submits credentials

(VOVworld) – Nguyen Van Trung, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique and the Seychelles, submitted a letter of credentials to Seychelles President James Michel on Monday.

During their meeting, Ambassador Trung said the Vietnamese government and people respect and want to enhance cooperation with the Seychelles for their mutual benefit, particularly in their staple sectors of agriculture, fishery, culture, tourism, and marine study. Trung said the two countries’ appointment of Ambassadors showed their determination to enhance bilateral cooperation.
The Seychelles President wished for Vietnam to be a gateway for his country to enter the Asia-Pacific region and that his country could be an intermediate country for Vietnamese exports to Africa. He asked Vietnam to share its experiences in agriculture, aquaculture, marine economy, and tourism. He said the Seychelles would always support Vietnam at international forums. Vietnam and the Seychelles have completed legal procedures for the validity of an aviation service agreement.
