Vietnamese culture introduced in Volgagrad

(VOVworld) - A Vietnamese cultural festival has opened in the Russian city of Volgagrad, an occasion for the Russians to learn more about Vietnam’s land and people to strengthen bilateral friendship. The festival drew the Vietnamese community, local authorities and residents, and foreign students there.

Duong Hai An, President of the Vietnamese Overseas Association in Volgagrad, said that over the past 30 years, the Vietnamese community has assumed a growing position, strengthened their solidarity and integration, and contributed to local development.

This is the 2nd Vietnamese cultural festival held in Volgagrad. The first event took place in 2009.
