Chairman Hue described the Lao top legislator's visit as an important milestone in the Vietnam-Laos ties, saying it helps boost the time-honored friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.

The two leaders agreed to work closely to supervise and create favourable conditions for the implementation of cooperative agreements between the two countries, especially the key tasks in the Vietnam-Laos cooperation strategy for 2021-2030, the five-year Vietnam-Lao cooperation agreement for 2021-2025, and others.

They agreed to continue working closely at regional and international inter-parliamentary forums.

The leaders also attended a ceremony to hand over medical equipment worth 1 million USD from the Vietnamese NA to its Lao counterpart in support of Laos’ COVID-19 fight.
