Vietnamese NA delegation visits Madagascar

(VOVWORLD) - A high-level delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA), led by Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien, began a three-day working visit to Madagascar on Friday.

On the same day, the Vietnamese NA Vice Chairman met with Speaker of the Parliament of Madagascar Jean Max Rakotomamonjy in the capital of Antananarivo. Mr. expressed his hope that the multilateral cooperation between the two countries would be enhanced through the exchange of delegations. He also highlighted several measures required to strengthen the relations between the two parliaments, including the formation of friendly parliamentary groups.

Vietnamese NA Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien affirmed that, in addition to the fine political and diplomatic ties, the two countries should promote their relations in economy and trade more forcefully, especially in agricultural production. He also proposed a number of solutions to further enhance their investment cooperation, such as the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) and Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (IPPA).
