Award winner at several international cinema festivals, artist Ngo Manh Lan told VOV: "The animated movies about animals, children’s stories, history, and legends, all aim to help children better learn about the world which surrounds them . We brought these movies here to screen not to compete with international amimation films in terms of techniques or skills, but to introduce to the audience  an artform in Vietnam that has existed for 50 years."

On display, Lan’s sketches feature Vietnam’s historic resistance wars against French and American aggression, and capture the landmark moments of militarymen and women in action and in daily life. Meanwhile, the paintings by Lam vividly depict the life of Vietnamese rural villages.
