(VOVworld)-The Vietnamese Embassy in the US has celebrated the 70^th anniversary of the People’s Police and 10^th anniversary of the all people to protect national security movement.

Ambassador Pham Quang Vinh said the Vietnamese People’s Police has participated widely in regional and international organizations in the fight against transnational crimes, hi-tech crimes, money laundering and human trafficking. Vietnam has security and legal enforcement cooperation with 55 countries and joined 22 international organizations and forums. The Ambassador hailed importance cooperation between Vietnamese and US law enforcement agencies recently in anti terrorism, drug trafficking and high tech crimes combating. US Assistant to the Secretary of State Thomas Countryman praised the Vietnamese People’s Police in fostering a peaceful and prosperous Vietnam and pledged further cooperation in human resource development.
