Vietnamese, Russian astronauts reminisce about joint space flight

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese astronaut Pham Tuan and his Russian counterpart Victor Vasilevich Gorbatko recalled their first space flight at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Hanoi on Wednesday, 35 years after the joint USSR-Vietnamese “Interkosmos” space program.

Tuan expressed his honor to be the first Vietnamese to travel into space. Gorbatko said that he was the 21st Russian astronaut and the 43rd person to have been to the outer space. His trip with Tuan was his 3rd space flight in his career. The two astronauts expressed their hope that the younger generations will be determined in fulfilling their dreams.
