Vietnamese Students Association in Russia convenes 1st Congress

(VOVWORLD) -Taking place at the weekend in Moscow, the 1st Congress of the Vietnamese Students Association in Russia, term 2024-2026, was a success with the election of the Association's Executive Committee consisting of 27 members, its President and four Vice Presidents.

The Congress marked a milestone of the Vietnamese student movement in Russia and the birth of the 14th Vietnamese student  organization abroad.

The hybrid event was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi, Chairperson of the Vietnamese Association in Russia Do Xuan Hoang,  representatives of the Vietnamese community, and 160 delegates representing 5,000 Vietnamese studying in Russia.

Le Huynh Duc said he is honored to be elected President of the Vietnamese Students Association in Russia. 

“Our first task is to finalize documents and procedures to be sent to the Vietnam Students Association for recognition and establishment of grassroots organizations. We will also focus on implementing the five-good student program: Good Ethics, Good Study, Good Physical Fitness, Good Volunteering, and Good Integration, and mapping out a strategy to rejuvenate Vietnamese students in Russia,” according to Duc.
