The Vietnamese teams, comprising of 16 high school students competing in four different categories, introduced highly-applicable initiatives, focusing on science and environmental protection. This is the first time after seven years of participating in the competition, the Vietnamese delegation, together with Indonesia, won the Semi Grand Award. This is also the first time that Vietnam has brought home the Best Leading Innovation Award. The annual competition was organized by the Korea University Invention Association and supported by the Republic of Korea’s parliament. This year’s competition drew more than 1,000 students from 30 countries and territories.
