Vietnam-EU Trade Exchange

(VOVworld) – A Vietnam-EU Trade Exchange was held in HCM city on Tuesday. This was the first time that an EU business delegation, which was comprised of 7 companies, specializing in sculpture, designing, and furniture manufacturing, attended such an exchange with Vietnamese companies. The exchange was part of project Business Avenues, which was aimed at supporting EU small and medium-sized businesses to penetrate and expand their markets in ASEAN. Head of the EU business delegation, Director of Project Business Avenues Garrison Teo said: “Vietnam has achieved and developed in a way where I think it is good for European partners in design to come in. I think initially when we did a research, we were very happy to know that Vietnam has a lot of raw material and exports a lot of things so initially we thought that it was more on the export. When we came into Vietnam we realized that not just the export sector that we could tap in but we can also sell things to Vietnam so some of the delegate themselves are interested in doing this in Vietnam to sell things.”
